With today’s economy continuing to struggle, it is no surprise that the demand for Village services continues to grow. This growth in the need for our services, combined with the impact the economy has on our agency finances, continued to test our ability to fulfill our mission—“to improve the quality of life through services designed to strengthen individuals, families and organizations.”
However, I am proud to report we are beginning to see the fruits of our labors. All of the hard work and tough decisions made in recent years have laid the foundation for our turn-around, and I believe this will lead to great successes in 2012 and beyond.
Thanks to you—Village employees, generous donors, and faithful supporters—we continue to face the challenges and meet the needs of the people in our communities. The Village is making a positive impact. Not only are we improving the lives of those we serve during the course of a single year, we are also improving our communities and our society by equipping those we come in contact with to be better citizens.
On behalf of the 75,000+ children and families we served in 2011 throughout North Dakota and Minnesota, I want to thank you for making a difference. It is an honor to be a part of this organization, and I look forward to serving with you as we continue to strengthen individuals, families, and organizations for generations to come.
